Education and Training
The Education and Training sub group of CANDI is open to all parent members within CANDI and is chaired by Jo Whitehead.
The group meets on a regular basis alternating day and evening meetings to ensure working parents or those in a caring role can arrange to attend. Dates and times will be advertised by email and email bulletin also on the news and events section of the website in order that the meeting is open to all members
Our work includes:
- Developing written materials for the CANDI website.
- Planning and writing materials for parent information leaflets.
- Writing and delivering disability equality and awareness materials for parents and professionals.
- In liaison with the Finance sub group; planning member training
- In liaison with Personnel and Finance sub groups; professional development for employees.
- Liaison with the Local Authority regarding issues relating to education of young people aged 0-25 years.
