Our Aims
To relieve the needs of disabled children and young people and their families in York and the surrounding area to live meaningful lives, in particular but not exclusively by:
- Seeking to improve services, both in quality and quantity.
- Providing informal social support.
- Encouraging and promoting inclusive attitudes and practices.
- Promoting disability equality and challenging discrimination.
*We use the term disabled children to include those children and young people who have: physical and sensory impairments, those children with learning difficulties, those with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and those children who have been identified as having special needs. We do not require a formal diagnosis.
